Grangegorman is on the Northside of Dublin, Ireland. Currently part of Grangegorman is been developed as the Grangegorman Campus.

The Grangegorman Campus is a €750 million education and health development by the Grangegorman Development Agency for Dublin Institute of Technology and the Health Service Executive (formerly the Eastern Regional Health Authority).

The campus, at 72 acres (290,000 m²), is the largest undeveloped site in the City of Dublin. The move by Dublin Institute of Technology should be complete by 2011 and will be Irelands largest higher education campus when complete. The Health Service Executive will also have improved facilities. It is also expected that the campus will be linked to the proposed metro for Dublin.

ST BRENDANS HOSPITAL GROUNDS WERE MY "BACKYARD" FROM 1967 UNTIL 1980. I KNEW EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THE GROUNDS AND EVERY PATIENT (WHO WAS NOT UNDER LOCK AND KEY) THAT FRQUENTED THE PLACE. THERE WAS JOHNNY THE HORSE, THE REF, THE COACH, THE RIDDLER, JIMMY THE BLIND MAN, LITTLE DAN MO0RAN ETC ETC. WE PLAYED HANDBALL THERE AND WERE COACHED BY KIT CLARKE FROM KIRWIN ST COTTAGES. WE WON MANY COMMUNITY GAMES GOLD MEDALS FOR AUGHRIM ST PARISH. WE WERE "WISE" ENOUGH TO SMELL ANY PATIENT WHO WOULD HARM KIDS AND AVOIDED THOSE PEOPLE. WE HAD BOWLING GREENS, SOCCER PITCHES, HANDBALL ALLEYS, TENNIS COURTS, A HOCKEY PITCH AND MULTIPLE ORCHARDS AND FRUIT PATCHES. WHEN THE "SECURO" MR. MACALLION CAME AROUND WE WOULD HIDE UNTIL HE HAD PASSED. WE GRADUATED FROM CHILDREN TO CIDER DRINKING AND SING SONGS AT CAMPFIRES ON WINTER EVENINGS WHEN WE WERE OLDER. I WOULD NOT SWAP THAT CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE FOR ANYTHING ON EARTH. ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE FROM THAT ERA?
