East Wall

Map of East Wall

See our large, interactive Map of East Wall for more detail, including satellite views of East Wall.

Map of East Wall, north of the river Liffey.

East Wall is an area of the Northside of the city of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. It is bounded by the North Strand Road to the west and by East Wall Road to the north. East Wall is also the starting point of the Dublin Port Tunnel.

Originally an area associated with Dublin Port, there is now evidence that East Wall is becoming gentrified.

East Wall
A few years ago, I worked for a while at a small business estate in East Wall Road. I think the Lir chocolate factory is still there.

I'd say East Wall Road will be transformed when the Dublin Port Tunnel opens up.

Hello Miss Sweeney,

I used to work, many years ago, at ESB Polefield on the Eastwall Road. I now live in Scotland. My Father was born in Eastwall area and Im trying to establish where! Does North Street or Dock Street ring a bell with you. I know it was demolished about 50 years ago. I think the local parish was St Thomas,s. Can you help please?

TRACING A FRIEND FROM EAST WALL
Hi

I am an ex class mate of Eamon Lynch, last address I had was 190 EAST WALL ROAD FAIRVIEW,DUBLIN.

Eamon & I joined the 8th Class of DE 1959 in the
Air Corps.

He left the Air Corps in 1965 to join the Merchant Navy,he ended up as a 1st Engineer in the Merchant Navy.

I have only heard that he may have died in the past number of years.

If any member of the family Brother,Sisters or any relationship I would love to make contact.

The 8th Class of DE Air Corp is commemorating 50 years & I would appreciate any information on Eamon.
